Brazil Meets Seattle
Brazilian au pairs visited a 4th grade class in Seattle. The children were thrilled to learn so much about their southern neighbor. The au pairs were excited to share information about their country with a slide presentation, games, and tasty treats!
Everyone loved the rice pudding and cheese bread.
The Global Awareness program introduces cultural differences to young children at a level they can understand. It’s a great way to meet and to learn more about our global neighbors!

Activities for Parents and Children
The Calendar of the Season is an interactive feature on the Au Pair in America website that gives children, parents, and au pairs a fun and informative look at each month of the year through cultural activities and historical facts.
This month, we clicked on the 17th and found that it was National Inventors Month. It's a good day to take children to the library to learn about famous inventors, including Benjamin Franklin and the Wright Brothers.
